NJ Poison Control Center Assists Residents During the Pandemic
New Jersey – The NJ Poison Control Center at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School serves as the state’s primary defense against injury and death from intentional and unintentional poisoning exposure. The State’s poison control center is actively involved in all aspects of poisoning and public health, from prevention to treatment to education. Callers can contact the center’s experts 24/7 by calling 1-800-222-1222.
In 2020, the NJ Poison Control Center provided medical information and treatment advice to nearly 50,000 callers. Along with providing potentially life-saving information and advice to members of the general public, healthcare professionals, first responders, school officials, and many more – the poison control center provides valuable public health surveillance on poison-related exposures and trends in New Jersey.
CBA Names Pat Leonardo New Guidance Director

The 10-year CBA counselor will succeed Colleen Hayes, who has helmed the department since 2005.
LINCROFT, N.J. – Christian Brothers Academy is pleased to announce that Pat Leonardo has been named the new Director of Guidance, beginning in the 2021-2022 school year.
Leonardo has been an upperclassman college counselor at CBA for the past 10 years and brings a wealth of college admissions knowledge to the role.
Virtual Trade and Jobs Fair in Monmouth County

Monmouth County, N.J. - Truth be told, not every rewarding, well-paying career requires a 4-year degree. To prove this point, the Monmouth County Guidance Directors' Association (MCGDA) will host its third annual county-wide Trade and Jobs Fair this coming Thursday, February 25, 2021, from 6-8 p.m.
As the fair will be virtual this year due to COVID-19 restrictions, registrants will instead be receiving access to the event's waiting room three days in advance. Once there, they'll be able to learn more about each of the over 35 skilled trade unions, trade schools, employers and branches of the U.S. Military that are participating - as well as the viable career pathways they individually provide.
Sue Kiley Seeking Second Term as Monmouth County Commissioner

HAZLET, NJ - Commissioner Sue Kiley has served as a Monmouth County Commissioner since 2018, and is the Board Liaison to the Human Services Department, including the Board of Health, Division of Aging and Disabilities, Division of County Adjuster, Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services, Division of Planning and Contracting for Human Services, and Division of Social Services, In 2020 and 2021, she was elected by her colleagues to serve as Deputy Director of the Board.
Kiley was instrumental in the launch of the recently formed Monmouth ACTS (Assisting Communities through Services) program and is the lead Commissioner for implementation of the program. Monmouth ACTS, the first of its kind in the state, is an innovative public-private partnership between Monmouth County government and community based non-profits to improve residents’ access to services in mental health, childcare, housing, addiction, and much more.
