Artists seeking inspiration, motivation, and a special time to devote to their work are invited to attend an informal gathering once a month at the Red Bank Public Library. The “Artists’ Workshop” takes place the first Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the library Community Room. The next meeting will be Thursday, July 1. The workshops are free and no registration is required. Participants should bring their own drawing and painting materials, although oils are not permitted because of ventilation concerns.
Also of interest to artists will be a series of four Thursday evening art classes, “Drawing and Painting with Rocco Scibetta,” which will take place September 9 through September 30, 2010. The classes are free, but registration is required and begins Monday, August 2, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. Please call or come to the library to register for this popular class.
Douglas L. Haviland of Meridian Life Support Training will return to the library to conduct a free Family and Friends CPR training class at the Red Bank Public Library on Monday, July 12, 2010, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. An emergency training professional, Doug will demonstrate the life saving CPR skills needed for helping infants, children, and adults.
